​A delegation from the Abia State Chapter of the Igbo National Congress (INC), led by its Chairman, Dr. Stanley Chima, was graciously hosted by Lt. Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika (Rtd.), the former Chief of Army Staff of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The meeting, which took place at the General's residence, was a crucial step in the preparations for the upcoming Igbo Cultural Conference (ICF).  
​The atmosphere was one of profound respect and collaborative spirit as both parties discussed the logistics, themes, and goals of the conference. Dr. Chima expressed his gratitude to Gen. Ihejirika for his unwavering support for Igbo cultural preservation and his willingness to lend his immense experience and wisdom to the INC's cause. He emphasized that the ICF is a vital platform for showcasing the richness of Igbo heritage and fostering a sense of unity and pride among Ndigbo.
​In his remarks, Gen. Ihejirika underscored the importance of cultural identity in national development. He commended the INC for its tireless efforts in promoting Igbo values and traditions, which he described as the bedrock of a strong and prosperous society. He further pledged his full support to the success of the ICF, urging all Ndigbo, both at home and in the diaspora, to participate actively in the conference.
​The meeting concluded on a high note, with both the INC delegation and their host expressing optimism about the future of Igbo cultural renaissance. The collaborative spirit demonstrated at the meeting is a testament to the shared commitment of Igbo leaders to the preservation and promotion of their unique cultural heritage. The Igbo Cultural Conference is poised to be a landmark event, and the successful partnership between the INC and Gen. Ihejirika is a powerful indicator of its potential for success.
