BREAKING: Gov. Alex Otti Grants Automatic Employment To Nine Ex-Corps Members For Making Abia Proud

In a landmark gesture of encouragement and recognition, the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, OFR, has granted automatic employment to nine ex-corps members of Abia origin who recently won the prestigious Presidential NYSC Honour Awards.

The announcement was made on Tuesday at the Government House, Umuahia, during the Governor’s reception for the awardees, who were accompanied by the NYSC State Coordinator, Barr. Gladys Adama.

Governor Otti, while commending the honourees for their sterling performance during their service year, declared that the employment embargo in the state was temporarily lifted to accommodate them.

“Having lifted that embargo and employed all of you, I also close the embargo. No interviews. You have already passed the interviews. Complete your documentation and resume work on Monday,” the Governor said.

He praised the nine outstanding youths for bringing glory to Abia through their dedication and excellence, urging them to remain shining ambassadors of the state. He also applauded the NYSC State Coordinator for her mentorship and leadership, which contributed to the corps members’ success.

Earlier, Barr. Adama described the awardees as “champions” who excelled in their primary assignments across different states and were decorated by the President on July 29.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Nwogu Chinonso from Obingwa Local Government Area expressed profound gratitude to Governor Otti, pledging that they would justify the confidence reposed in them by serving Abia with diligence and loyalty.
